Parallel Points

It’s the face

of blank woman,

watching

watching.

.

Indeterminate

as the sun,

she sighs

and judges.

.

~

.

We started back to back

and someday

we may meet again,

but for now

we are

waiting

waiting

until we

are parallel

again.

.

It happened

at one point.

It really did.

We were once

at parallel points

in the ellipse.

But everything’s

uneven now.

.

~

.

The blank woman

sighs

and tosses

back a glass.

She is

waiting

waiting.

.

~

.

If they

were once the sun

and I the moon,

how is it now?

.

I used to parrot

and now

I am parallel

to somewhere near

where they once were

years ago

While they are

wishing

wishing

for me to catch up

to them now.

.

If we were

circles in

a Olympic symbol

of rings

where

the lines intertwine

and cross

when colors collide,

how different would it be?

.

~

.

Looking in blank woman’s face

,for us,

is like a distorted mirror.

They see me,

I see me.

It once seemed clear,

but now it’s set

to crack.

.

~

.

Even

out of the ellipse

when it turns,

just to lines,

We are

zigzagging

into head-butts

and far distance.

.

What will happen

when the lines end?

Will I turn into a white Cornish?
