My Fish Bowl Is A Mirror

I live in a bubble

A fishbowl

Curved class confining

A crafted interior

.

Little blue rocks

And plastic plants

With a ceramic castle

Attempt to create

My utopia

.

No predators attack

Nothing inside can hurt me

As I glub glub glub

Chewing on my factory fish flakes

.

A manufactured life

Where I am perfectly healthy

In body

But not in mind

.

A thread of doubt

Coursing though

A crack in the fishbowl

A fissure

.

Around me

Before

The tank mirrored my

Every move

Four fish copied me

But now

A crack

.

Slowly breaking through the façade

And leaking out the life’s

Water breath

That the fish needed

To SURVIVE
