Chrysalis

Deep into my eye
I fall
Past wind-falling and down spiraling
Chrysalises

Down my head
A fragrant dream
Flowing like silk
Over my rough hewn thoughts
Wrapping and wrapping
From half-grown time
Into
Chrysalises

Words and sounds
Buzzing and clicking
All loud and twang
Softening into
A background roar
Being muffled
By
Chrysalises

Actions stopped
Stumbling
Stuck
Drunken glory
Stalled
In mummified horror
of
Chrysalises

Stuck inside
I can no longer think
I can no longer hear
I can no longer move
Where am I?
Simply stuck inside the
Chrysalis?

To late..
I am…
Body changing
Back breaking
Live veils formed
On my back
A struggle to get
Outside my
Chrysalis

Falling
Break-neck speed
Awakened past the dream
Who am I now
Butterfly, moth or
Something else entirely
Trapped in the open Earth
Water hanging pumps
Now outside
My
Chrysalis
