Smashing the Beloved Wall

She put out her hand

Ahead of her

Was the wall

.

The wall had grown up

Over time

And she had become

Very attached to it

And what it stood for

.

Today was different though

She looked at the bricks that held it together

And on a whim

Thought she fancied a change

.

Considering it

From one angle

She decided to go ahead

And smashed it down

.

As the dust rose

She was euphoric

But as the ashes settled

She remembered

All the good times she had with the wall

That she could never build up again
