The Mad Car

The raging car

It hits the trashcans and street sides

Spilling mildewed dreams

And bad memories

Wanting it to stop

Trying to hit the breaks

Going on cruise-control

The car has stopped still

Lines on the street

Purple and yellow

Bigger and bigger

Streaks passing

In a silent drift

Above the dreaded chaos

Muffled below

In the mirrors

Placidly sit the images

Of other speeding uncontrolled cars

Zooming on

Broken highways

In the dreams

Spots on vision

Punctured by words

But how?

Forced awake

Cruel awakening

Windows opened

Cold water

On empty countryside

In and out of cities

The car zooms

Living in seclusion

And then wanting the city

Never still

Unable to control the rabid GPS
