In Nothing, A Wish, Of Something

Eyes staring

A soldier’s stare

I see nothing

Ahead or behind

The sky and Earth

Are relative

The sea in-between

It can be any color I chose

Yet blank

Painting of the mind

Fade over time

Hidden music sighs

Into eternal noon

How I want the dusk

To pour the empty glass

Into a reality

Of solid shapes

And firm

Real colors

But what will I do

When there is so much to see

So much to do

With dusk

Lapping at my heels

And inky farewell
