Frozen Castle

Around her

The air is frozen

Sticking to buildings

Of seeming glass

.

She sits alone

In her city

Of the unliving

Made of frozen tears

.

I want to help

But she tells me

To go away to leave

Air sticking in her throat

 .

I watch

Through the

Opaque stilled water

Face stuck to ice

With moisture

.

I watch

As her ice

Begins

To crack

Splintering

Around the wall

Of her cold world

.

Outside

Helplessly

I watch

As unfrozen tears

Stream out

Of her hot eyes

.

But then

They freeze

Sharp and cold

The tears freeze

As her body

Her castle of ice

Reforms

Into a

Mausoleum
