The Time Bomb

I am always going

Once the year starts

My feet hit the track

Towards the future

.

I am always ticking

Everything

I speed through

Not relaxed time, just…

Tick Tick, Done!

.

They hear it

My ticking.

They hear it and run

They don’t like it

The fact I complete the necessary

And ask for more

They see me as a time bomb

Tick Tick, Done!

Each tick causes rolling annoyance

And when the bomb strikes

Anger

So they ask me

To be slower

Work slower

Fit in

Tick Tick, Done?

.

They want me to slow down

They see it coming soon

The ultimate explosion

When I can’t outrun

My own bomb

When my time control

Shatters

When I hit the brick wall

With my fur singed

.

But I

Didn’t listen

And

Tick, Tick, Tick

It’s coming

Tick, Tick, Tick

I see the wall

Tick, Tick, Boom!
