Resentment

Clenched

Held still

An anger

Resentment

Overflowing water

Turned to frozen ice

Stuck

On one idea

Stuck

In one place

Wanting to leave

In voice

In mind

Vowing revenge

In the mirror

I see her

Behind me

She has aged

But I look

Just the same

In my eyes

A hatred

In hers

Nothing

The mirror flips

And I

Am old

My head heavy

My eyes weary

She has gotten older

More mature then before

But she is still young

On one side of the mirror

Emotion is written

On the other

Emotional toll

She has matured

I have not forgiven

I have held resentment

Making it my all

She

Has lived

And let live

All I live for

Resentment

It’s killing me

On my final a years

The strain

The strain

To late to give up?
