To Judge a Baby

It’s a gift they say
This beautiful face
Grafted by the false smoothness
Of a plastic surgeon
With big eyes
And nice skin
And it was
She attracted
A gorgeous husband
A nice house
And they had
A child
Now this child
Was not a prizewinner
And the father
It wasn’t his
It was
And he sued
He hated
His own child
Out of the wife’s
Angry lips
It came out
Had went under
The knife
Before she met
What she thought
The love of her life
And so ended
The tale of their marriage
The wife
Angry yet beautiful
The husband
Who married for looks
Shone to be
What he was
And the child
The child’s fate
And the fact
It may grow up
To be beautiful and great
That people often change
Because of
Is or
Seems to be
