Him & I

In between
The fine lines
It lurks
A mirror
Reflecting back
Pieces of him
The things that annoy me
The things
That annoy him
Are all the things
Caught in the reflection
Rubbed with silver shine
Not everyone
Can stand themselves
And reflections
Aren’t always known
As what they
Truly are
He sees me
Doing things
He regretted later
And I agonize over
That I
Also posses
It is fine
To criticize
Or blame another
But when
The mirror
Is reversed
And the face
The hidden reflection
Is revealed
How can I
With what I said
About the one
Holding the mirror of me
Written for Poet’s United’s Wonder Wednesday
