Green Life

Barren
The yellowed stalks
Of the once grass
Shake
In the gaseous wind
Overcome
With clouds
On the wings of grey doves
 .
Dripping
Orbs
Of dusty water
Falling onto
The parched earth
Making
Darker spots of brown
Pools of water
Outstretched
Across bristles of yellow-grey
 .
The sun enters
Onto
The grey sky
Showing
A vast expanse
Of water
With shades
Of life
 .
Dappled algae
Spots of green
Float on the
Reflective surface
Vibrant
In the dull
Pools of dusty water
Popping out
Showing that
There is still life
On planet Earth
 .
Shared with Real Toads, it was inspired by all the green of the Temperate forests and I wanted to emphasize that.

  1. Hi, Daisy! I love the way you display your words here…the drawing down in a narrow line…sparsity and brevity brings much to the accentuation of the detail and imagery you portray.

Very good!! Thank you for transforming this Friday!! 🙂
